Little Picture Window is made up of Sophie, a graphic designer, and Emma, an artist. Together, we create whimsical designs to adorn small business’ window displays. 

Sophie Elyse is an illustrator and designer operating on the Woi Wurrung and Boonwurung lands of Naarm/Melbourne. Her style is heavily inspired by Scandinavian folk art and playful elements from childhood. She often illustrates animals and florals to celebrate her love of the natural environment. Mainly her work medium is digital and hand-drawn illustration. She has recently been involved in creative projects with the Whitehorse City Council and Surrey Hills Traders Union and works at Tyoub Swimwear as a design intern.

Emma Lyn Winkler is an artist working in large-scale, multi-media painting and hand-painted animation. She combines digital and traditional mediums to create art that explores the complexities of different emotions, using humour and cartoon characters to make this topic less confronting. Her process is very systematic, using rigorous planning and innovative techniques to create complex painted compositions that layer many different styles from flat, neat cartoons to  loose, expressive sections. Through oil, acrylic and spray paint, Emma uses a playful approach to challenge taboos and encourage open conversation.

Sophie and Emma acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Wurundjeri Country on which they work and live, pay their respects to their Elders past, present and emerging and remember that sovereignty was never ceded.
